MOMO's BIRTHDAY BLOG HOP!!!!!

Hi Paper Lovers....

Today is a VERY special day in Bloggie world =) It's Momo's Birthday tomorrow and we are celebrating today with a BLOG HOP!!! Can I get a WOO HOO!!!
I decided for my project I would go with a cupcake themed party!!! I made a cupcake invitation, cupcake toppers, cupcake recipe cards and a cupcake birthday card. I had planned for more, but ran out of time =(

First up is the Invitation to the Cupcake Party and a couple cupcake toppers....

For the INVITATION, I used the Just Because Cards cartridge. The shape was on pg. 57 cut at 5 3/4"

The CUPCAKE is from Sweet Treats. Its found on pg. 24 and was cut at 2"

For the CUPCAKE TOPPERS, they were both cut at 2 " and can be found on pgs. 24 & 26

The next part of my project is a recipe card with a recipe for yellow cupcakes and buttercream frosting.... I thought it would be neat to give each guest the recipe you used to make the cupcakes!

When you open the cupcake...you find the recipe for the buttercream frosting.....

for the shape of the card, I used the Just Because Cards cartridge. It can be found on pg. 37 and was cut once at 5 1/4 and once at 5 1/2"

The cupcake is from the Sweet Treats cartridge. It is the card feature on pg. 26 and was cut at 2 1/2"

And finally...I made a cupcake card for the party....

Creative Scraps Challenge

Hi Paper Lovers....


The super sweet and talented ladies who have started Creative Scraps Challenge asked ME to be a guest designer.....ME!!! How exciting....oh, and they asked Julie and Momo too =) Be sure to check out their blogs to see what amazing cards they made!!!


The challenge this week is to make a birthday card, with BLING and use only ONE cartridge! Sounds easy, right??? I can not even tell you how many times I went to grab a SECOND cartridge LOL!!! I had such a hard time just using one =)


and....I have a confession....whenever I have to make a specific card for someone or for a challenge, I just go BLANK!!! I have such a hard time coming up with something....that being said....I gave it my all and this is what I came up with.......

The ONE cartridge I used was Create a Critter.

The KOALA is on pg. 49 and was cut at 2 1/2" I also cut her ACCESSORY feature which is her SKIRT and FLOWER at 2 1/2" I really do like her blingy earings =)

The PURSE is on pg. 47 and was cut at 1"

The BALLOONS are on pg. 30...one was cut at 2" and two were cut at 1 1/2"

The top cardstock is embossed with the Happy Birthday folder from Cuttlebug.

On to my project......

I have decided to do something I have NEVER done before....use my Cricut to make a home decor project....GASP....I cant believe I have never tried one before. I decided to go with a Fall Wall Hanging. I LOVE Fall....so I thought a Welcome Fall sign was perfect since I couldnt wait for it to get here!!!

And here it is.....

I cut a 6x12 piece of cardboard from a cereal box and covered it in patterned paper.

The TREE is cut from SIMPLY CHARMED at 7 1/2......I cut it first out of cardboard and then layered it with the paper so it was thicker.

The SCARECROW is also cut from SIMPLY CHARMED at 4....I also cut it out of cardboard first.

The font is from DON JUAN. WELCOME is cut at 1 1/2 and FALL is cut at 2 1/2. I also cut all the letters out of cardboard and then paper.

The LEAVES are cut from DOODLECHARMS at 1 and at 1/2 of an inch.

I used my Cropadile and punched 2 holes at the top and used some brown ribbon to hang the sign.

The patterned paper is from Making Memories and is from last year.

It really was a simple project and I hope you like it and are inspired to make your own custom home decor for Fall!!!

Look What my Hubby Made for Momo's Hubby Challenge

Hi Paper Lovers...

In case you can't tell....my husband is a BIG Star Wars fan. When I asked him if he wanted to make a card for Momo's hubby challenge, he said he would if he could make a Star Wars card =) I can not even begin to tell you how impressed I am with what he came up with!!! He pieced together different shapes and objects and made perfect little replicas of the Star Wars characters......so cute!!!

Here are some pics of the process......this was the first time he had ever used my Cricut....

A Sweet Hello Card and its my Blog's birthday =)

I cant believe my Blog is ONE YEAR OLD!!! My how she has grown over the last year =) I have met some wonderful people through LiveloveandSCRAP...its been an amazing year!!! Thank you EVERYONE from the bottom of my heart for all your support and for taking time to stop by and comment....you're the best!!!

I have a super simple card for you today...its made with the super adorable Simply Charmed cartridge...DCWV Cardstock....a few bottons....a Scrappy Mom's stamp...and a white gel pen...SUPER SIMPLE!!!

Halloween card using Mini Monsters

Here is my first card using Mini Monsters.....its really simple!

I can already tell I am going to LOVE this cartridge and have a couple of cards going in my head....just cant wait to make them =)

Thinking of You Card

Hi Paper Lovers....
I dont know what it is about this little card...but I LOVE it!!! It might be the adorable giraffe or the even cuter birdie sitting on his bum....or maybe its the Stickles I added to the giraffe, birdie and clouds.....or the fact that this card went together so easily.......or it could even be the stamped heart flowers and butterflies...I just love it all!
Do you ever feel that way about a card you have made??? I am making FIVE more right now just to have on hand!
The background paper is from DCWV Sorbet Stack.
All cuts are from the Create A Critter cartridge....
The GIRAFFE is on pg. 48 and was cut at 4.5"
The BIRDIE is on pg. 65 and was cut at 1"
The CLOUDS are on pg. 28 and are cut at 1"
The conversation CLOUD is also on pg. 28 and was cut at 1.5"
The stamped images and sentiment are from Hero Arts.....
